Fintexs supplies and customises X-ray machines to electronics manufacturers across the region. Their machines produce high-quality X-ray images of PCB assemblies — capturing internal bond wires, solder joints, voids, and component placements with precision.
However, the machines had no built-in inspection capability. Every X-ray image still had to be reviewed manually by a human operator at the end customer’s facility — image by image, shift by shift. This bottleneck limited the throughput their customers could achieve and introduced the inconsistency of human visual fatigue into the inspection process.
Fintexs needed a way to offer their customers something beyond a capable imaging tool — a machine that could inspect, decide, and act autonomously. Adding AI inspection intelligence to their product would directly differentiate their offering from competitors.
