PixeVision Hosts Korean Digital Talent Delegation from Chungcheong Region
Kelana Jaya, 21 October 2026
PixeVision welcomed a delegation of 23 researchers and managers from Korea’s central region to our office in Petaling Jaya. The half-day visit combined a technical sharing session, hands-on demonstrations of our AI vision and knowledge systems, and an open discussion on Korea–Malaysia collaboration in industrial AI.

Who visited
The visit was part of the 2026 Chungcheong Region ICT Innovation Square Expansion Project: Overseas Training for Outstanding Digital Talent, organised by the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government. The programme ran from 19 to 24 October 2026 across Singapore and Malaysia, and PixeVision was one of its Malaysian stops.
The delegation brought together universities, standards bodies and innovation agencies:
- Cheongju University
- Korea National University of Transportation
- Korea Polytechnics (Chungnam)
- Korea University
- Korean Standards Association
- Chungnam Human Resources Development Institute (Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry)
- Chungnam Techno Park
- Sejong Technopark
- Chungbuk Innovation Institute of Science and Technology
- National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA)

Industrial AI in Practice
PixeVision led a sharing session on how PixeVision builds and deploys AI on real production lines. He traced our journey from ASPL’s factory automation roots in 1999 to PixeVision’s spin-off in 2023, with projects now running in Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan.
The session walked through use cases in semiconductor, oleochemicals, steel and aviation catering. It closed with practical engineering lessons, such as getting the optics right before the algorithm, keeping data on site, and keeping humans in the loop, plus how a project moves from proof of concept to production.
Hands-on demos
After the talk, the delegation moved to our demo area to try the technology for themselves:
1. See.AI glove inspection, powered by a Baumer industrial vision sensor. Guests watched gloves being checked for defects in real time, the same approach we use on production lines.
2. Interactive defect detection, where visitors placed parts under the camera and saw live detections on screen.
3. 3D AI CCTV, which tracked people moving through the room and showed live counts and dwell times.
- EKE (Embedded Knowledge Engine), our assistant that lets plant staff ask questions of their factory data in plain language.

Thank you
The visit ended with a token of appreciation and a group photo with the programme banner. Our thanks to Dr. Eddie Puah, Eugene Tan, Chong Chee Yee and Ivan Tan for supporting the demos and the open Q&A.
We thank the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government, the organisers and every member of the delegation for their time and thoughtful questions. We look forward to further exchange between Korea and Malaysia in AI talent and technology.
충청남도 대표단 여러분, 방문해 주셔서 진심으로 감사드립니다. 앞으로의 한-말레이시아 AI 협력을 기대합니다!
(Thank you to the Chungnam delegation for visiting. We look forward to future Korea–Malaysia AI collaboration!)
