Addressing Scepticism: PixeVision Discusses AI Reliability & Performance in Malaysian Manufacturing
PixeVision had the privilege of sharing our perspective by delivering a guest lecture at the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) based on real-life experiences in the industry. The session focused on a CRUCIAL topic for the industry:
"Scepticism about AI Reliability & Performance in real-world Malaysian Manufacturing Settings"
The session, attended by UNM students, staff members, and industry professionals, explored the common concerns and challenges surrounding the adoption and trust of AI technologies within the practical context of Malaysian manufacturing operations.

Our main speaker, Dr. Eddie Puah, who is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of PixeVision illustrated these concepts with real-world examples, offering insights into building confidence and showcasing the robust capabilities of AI when applied correctly.
The discussion highlighted the importance of practical application and reliable performance as key factors in overcoming scepticism. The interactive session also included a lively Q&A, facilitating a valuable exchange of ideas and addressing practical questions from the audience.

Besides that, we were delighted to get support from two University of Nottingham Malaysia alumni, Matthew Chua and Chee Yee, who contributed to the session by sharing their unique perspective and opinions.
We are particularly proud that one of these alumni is even a valued member of our team at PixeVision. Their participation emphasised the strong link between academic foundation and real-world industry application.

This lecture reflects PixeVision’s commitment to contributing to the awareness of responsible and effective AI adoption and supporting the development of future professionals.
We believe that open discussion, sharing practical knowledge, and connecting with growing talent are vital for the industry’s growth.
Many thanks to the University of Nottingham Malaysia for hosting us, to the two alumni for their valuable contributions, and to all attendees for their engaging participation and questions.
We look forward to upcoming sessions in the future!
